Hi! I’m Jess
I am a music therapist based in South Derbyshire, but I have worked all over the Midlands. My passion lies in supporting people of all ages to be able to find different ways to communicate and express themselves through the power of music.

Before studying for a master’s in Music Therapy at the University of Derby, I completed an undergraduate degree in music at the University of Huddersfield and graduated in 2015.
I have been a musician for over 20 years, starting on brass but then soon moving to learning the saxophone and have since learnt to play many different woodwind instruments.
Following my qualification as a Music Therapist in 2022, I have worked in many different settings from care homes to primary schools, to SEN schools, to people’s homes. I have worked with children of all ages with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, global developmental delay, trauma, and mental health. I have also worked with many children who are looked after and have needed support before, during, and after a foster placement or adoption.
Registration
I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council and BAMT. I have a current DBS certificate, and I am insured under Howden’s for public liability insurance.
